Foundation Complete

The concrete foundation is now complete.  The diamond-shaped hole you see is a spot for a steel beam, which will support the second floor of the building.  Speaking of steel…

Steel Shortage

Apparently we don’t have all the steel necessary to build the frame, so construction is at a standstill…

Foundation Pour

Concrete is coming in Friday morning for the foundation.  It should be done by the end of the day!

Foundation Prep

With the trenching complete, a poly barrier is laid down and rebar set for the concrete foundation.  If the weather holds out, we might see a foundation poured this week!

Bathrooms

Bathrooms. The expansion will have seven of them. Not to mention another ten separate sinks, one in each downstairs classroom. All those sinks and potties take lots of pipe for water and waste.
